Counselling for emotional well-being
"Life can feel overwhelming or uncertain at times. Talking it through with someone who listens without judgement can make all the difference. As a qualified counsellor, I offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore what’s on your mind. Together, we’ll work at your pace to find clarity and confidence.”
My path into counselling grew from a deep interest in people’s stories and the ways we adapt to life’s challenges. Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful it can be when someone feels truly heard and supported — and it’s this belief that guides my work today.
My foundation is in Person-Centred Counselling, which means I offer a space where you can feel safe, accepted, and understood just as you are. At the same time, I recognise that sometimes we need some practical tools and new perspectives, so I draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA) when they may be useful. This allows me to tailor my approach to your needs, whether you’re navigating change, facing uncertainty, or wanting to better understand yourself.
I believe the heart of counselling is the relationship we build together. When there’s trust and openness, real change becomes possible. My aim is to walk alongside you, helping you to find clarity in difficult times and the confidence to move forward in the way that feels right for you.
I am a member of the BACP, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, a professional body for counsellors and psychotherapists practising in the United Kingdom.
Anxiety can feel like a constant companion—restless thoughts, tight chest, and that “what if?” voice that never lets up. In therapy, we’ll work together to slow things down, explore what lies behind the worry, and begin to unravel the patterns that keep it alive. You’ll be listened to, and we’ll build practical tools and new ways of thinking that help you reclaim calm, confidence, and a greater sense of ease in your everyday life.
Depression can leave you feeling drained or disconnected from the things that once mattered. Together we can create a space where you can share openly and begin to make sense of what you’re going through. By gently exploring your thoughts and feelings, and introducing practical strategies when helpful, counselling can support you in lifting the weight of low mood, rebuilding self-belief, and finding hope for a brighter future.
Past trauma can continue to echo in the present, shaping how you feel, think, and relate to others. In counselling, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe for you, creating space to gently explore painful experiences without being overwhelmed by them. Together, we’ll work towards understanding and easing the impact of the past, helping you build resilience, restore a sense of control, and move forward with greater freedom and self-compassion.
It’s okay to not feel okay sometimes. If sadness, a lack of energy, or a general sense of feeling "stuck" has been lingering, it might be time to talk to someone. We can explore these feelings and work towards you feeling more like your best self.
All relationships go through ups and downs, but when communication breaks down or unresolved issues start to pile up, it can feel overwhelming. Whether you're facing challenges with a partner, family member, or friend, we can work together to help rebuild trust and improve communication.
If you’ve been battling with negative thoughts about food, weight, or body image, or struggling with your weight loss journey, however that may look, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the emotional and psychological factors that influence your relationship with food.
Losing someone close is one of life’s hardest experiences. The pain, confusion, and sense of emptiness can feel overwhelming. I offer compassionate support through your grief journey. Whether you’re struggling with feelings of sadness, anger, or guilt.
Exploring your identity or gender can be a deeply personal and sometimes challenging experience. Whether you're questioning, transitioning, or simply seeking clarity, here I offer an affirming space to explore your feelings, ask questions, and embrace who you truly are.
It’s easy to get caught in a cycle of self-doubt and negative self-talk, but the truth is, you are capable, worthy, and deserving of success. I can help you uncover your strengths, challenge limiting beliefs, and build the confidence you need to thrive in all areas of life.

If you’re experiencing emotional distress, difficulty coping with life events, or just want to improve your mental health and well-being, therapy can be a helpful resource. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or any other issue, therapy can provide support and tools to help you navigate your journey.
In the first session, we will discuss your background, goals for therapy, and any immediate concerns you may have. This is a time for you to share at your own pace, and we will work together to create a plan tailored to your needs. The first session also helps us establish trust and a comfortable environment for future sessions.
Therapy sessions typically last for 50 minutes, although the length may vary depending on the type of therapy or individual needs. I aim to ensure you have enough time to explore your thoughts and feelings fully.
The number of sessions needed varies from person to person. Some clients may only need a few sessions, while others may engage in therapy for several months. It depends on your goals, the challenges you're facing, and how quickly you're able to work through them. Together, we can review your progress regularly and adjust the frequency of sessions as necessary.
Yes, your privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance. All information shared in therapy is kept confidential, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law. We’ll discuss the specifics of confidentiality in our first session to ensure you're comfortable with our policies.
